capstats software package provides command-line tool for collecting network interface statistics, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install capstats
capstats is installed in your system.
Make ensure the capstats package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep capstats *
You will get with capstats package name, version, architecture and description in a table
